Shamanic Plant Spirit Initiation with Your Plant Ally

SHAMANIC PLANT SPIRIT INITIATION WITH YOUR PLANT ALLY

This ceremony is designed for anyone who has experience working with plants in ceremony and wishes to come together in a focused, supportive space with a plant ally they have already chosen.

It offers a container to deepen your connection and walk in ceremony alongside others who share a respectful, heart-centred relationship with the Plant Kingdom.

This is not an introductory initiation — instead, it’s an opportunity to bring your ongoing relationship with your chosen plant into ceremony, receiving support, guidance, and shared presence.

This ceremony is an opportunity to explore and receive the spiritual medicine of your Plant Ally as we journey with ceremony, elixirs, breathwork, and other connection and shamanic healing practices. The shamanic plant spirit initiation will take you as deep as you are willing to go. We will end our day with a nourishing meal, grounding ourselves and integrating the received wisdom.

What to Expect

  • A held ceremonial space for you and your plant ally.

  • Time for personal connection and reflection within a heart-centred community.

  • Gentle guidance and support to deepen your plant relationship.

  • A safe and reciprocal environment to honour your unique journey.

How to Prepare

  • Come with a chosen plant ally that you have worked with ceremonially before.

  • Bring any offerings, tools, or items you use in ceremony with your plant.

  • Wear comfortable clothing and be ready to spend time both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting).

  • Arrive with an open heart and intention to deepen your connection.

What to Bring

  • Your plant ally elixir (we can support you in creating this).

  • Personal ceremony items (blanket, journal, water, etc.).

  • Any tools or offerings that support your practice (feathers, stones, candles, etc.).

  • A notebook or journal for reflections

  • Food to share for breaking our fast.

Invitation to Join

If you have already experienced working with plants ceremonially and feel called to deepen your relationship in a held group space, this Master Module invites you to come with your plant ally and walk the path of ceremony together.

Together, we create a container of respect, presence, and shared wisdom — honouring the Plant Kingdom’s teachings and your personal journey.

Shamanic Herbalism Apprenticeship 2026

The Shamanic Herbalism Apprenticeship is a unique blend of ancient wisdom and practical herbalism. It is an eight-month transformational journey for those ready to deepen their spiritual path, reconnect with the Earth, and learn to walk in reverence with the Plant Kingdom. Rooted in shamanic practices and earth-honouring spirituality, this apprenticeship blends earth wisdom with hands-on herbal medicine-making to support healing, empowerment, and ecological remembrance.

Plants and trees are conscious, intelligent beings. When approached with reverence and reciprocity, they become generous teachers - offering guidance, insight, and healing. Through intentional relationship and sacred plant communication, we learn to listen with more than our ears, reawakening our intuitive senses and remembering our place in the web of life.

This path is one of transformation and spiritual renewal, guided by the plants themselves. As we learn to attune to their energy and spirit, we also discover how to create potent herbal remedies, infusions, and medicines that support wellness on every level—body, mind, and soul.

Held over seven three-day immersive modules, this apprenticeship will guide you through the Seven States of Being and the Five Directional Medicine Wheel, introducing you to a rich tapestry of shamanic teachings, energy healing practices, nature-based rituals, and direct plant encounters. You’ll learn to identify and connect with plant allies, prepare your own plant medicines, and engage in ceremonies that awaken ancestral memory and intuitive knowing.

By the end of the program, you will have the grounding, tools, and spiritual insight to communicate confidently with the Plant Kingdom. You’ll graduate as a Shamanic Plant Kingdom Communicator - a bridge between worlds - walking your path with clarity, balance, and a deepened sense of purpose rooted in service to the Earth.

★ You’re ready to look inward, break free from limiting patterns, and embrace the healing needed to transform.

★ You feel a deep longing to reconnect with your higher self, your soul, Grandmother Earth, and the Divine.

Introduction to Nepal’s Dhami-Jhankri Shamanism with Bhola Banstola

to 5 Apr

Introduction to Nepal’s Dhami-Jhankri Shamanism with Bhola Banstola

Introduction to Nepali Dhami-Jhankri Shamanism Workshop

Dhyangro drum

Nepal’s shamanism is a living tradition that has been in perennial flow for a very long time—it is a way of life for many communities and groups. During this immersive three-day program, participants will explore the cosmology, creation stories, and traditional understandings of disharmony and malaise from a Nepali Jhankri-Shaman perspective. Bhola Banstola will be traveling from Nepal to lead this workshop, bringing his direct lineage knowledge and authentic experience of Nepali Dhami-Jhankri shamanism.

The Program

Under the expert guidance of Bhola Banstola, a 27th-generation Dhami-Jhankri Shaman, participants will embark on a transformative journey. Through storytelling, myth, ritual, dance, and group ceremonies, Bhola will guide you to explore the elements of creation, the three worlds, and the fourteen levels (Tintri-lok Chaudha Bhuvana) of the Nepali upper and lower spiritual realms.

You will learn about the male and female spirits of the Dhyangro drum, a sacred instrument central to shamanic rituals, and experience the primordial sounds and rhythms it produces. These rhythms symbolize the union of opposites—Purusha and Prakriti—bringing healing and harmony. Participants will see firsthand how a Jhankri uses these rhythms in their spiritual work.

Practical aspects of Dhami-Jhankri shamanism will also be covered:

  • The shaman’s costume (Jala-mala, Jama-Pagari)

  • Preparing a traditional altar (Thaan)

  • The art of making offerings (Chadaunu)

Discussions on conventional perspectives of disease and illness will be paired with hands-on experiences, including invoking the water deity Jala Devi to create healing water.

Participants will take part in profound rituals:

  • Designing a healing mandala (Rekhii) with cosmic representations

  • Performing rituals of release and removal (Khadga Puja)

  • Participating in a Shamanic Dance of Transformation (Jhankri-Naach)

Saturday evening will feature a shared vegetarian meal followed by a fire ceremony, a ritual of release and reinvigoration.

The program concludes with Bhola bestowing the five-coloured thread blessing (Pancha-Rangi Dhago), symbolizing harmony, balance, and joy. This ritual (Siir Uthaunu) enhances spiritual strength and resilience.

White Pine Tree Shamanic Plant Spirit Initiation

The Eastern White Pine (Pinus strobus) is a majestic and spiritually significant tree in Native American traditions particularly the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois), where the Eastern White Pine has been considered a sacred tree of peace. The Iroquois used it as the central tree in the Great Law of Peace, which symbolises unity and harmony between different nations.

The White Pine Tree’s tall, straight trunk and reaching branches are symbolic of the connection between heaven and earth, helping us access higher states of consciousness or Divine guidance. Its deep roots symbolize stability, and its long life span encourages spiritual growth, perseverance, and resilience.

Known for living for hundreds of years, the Eastern White Pine represents endurance, longevity, and the ability to weather the storms of life. As a towering, ancient tree, the Eastern White Pine is often associated with wisdom, intuition, and spiritual insight. In shamanic traditions, it is believed to carry the wisdom of ages and offers a deep connection to ancestral knowledge.

Willow Shamanic Plant Spirit Initiation

Willow Shamanic Plant Spirit Initiation

The Willow Tree, specifically the Weeping Willow (Salix Babylonica), serves as a potent ally for emotional healing, spiritual protection, purification, and personal transformation. In Celtic and Druidic traditions, the Willow Tree is associated with the Moon and the feminine energy. It is often seen as a guardian of the liminal realms, standing between the material world and the spirit world.

With roots strong enough to hold river banks together, Willow teaches us how to have strength, resilience and flexibility during great change in our lives. Willow roots have the ability to travel deep into the earth to find streams of water teaching us how to connect to the waters of the unconscious mind.

The Willow tree has the ability to self-propagate, this and its connection to the Water element, the intuitive realms, and the Full Moon, means that Willow is able to bring peace and balance to our inner child aspect. The Water element represents purification, healing and the flow of life force energy, so if there are any blockages, old or new, in our kundalini energy, Willow will be dislodging it so it can be released.

Willow is the predominant tree that has been used in basketry. Medicinally, its inner bark holds a phytochemical constituent which is the basis on which aspirin was invented, make it useful in pain relief. Magical uses of its wood are extensive, one of which is the hoop in shamanic drums.

This Shamanic Plant Spirit Intiation is for you if:

☆ you are craving to feel more connected to Grandmother Earth

Rose Shamanic Plant Spirit Initiation

Rose Shamanic Plant Spirit Initiation

Rose is a potent international symbol of love, beauty, the Sacred Feminine, personal transformation and the Divine; a powerful symbol in many spiritual traditions and carries deep symbolic meanings across cultures.

Working with Rose ceremonially brings us many teachings on profound levels, and is a key medicine for the heart and heart chakra (anahata chakra). Rose’s wisdom teaches us about seeing our own inner beauty, the Sacred Feminine, and helps us deal with overwhelming emotions with softness and grace.

Rose also brings teachings about the cycle of life - budding, blooming, death, transformation and reseeding, helping us to either blossom into our fullness or close old chapters.

Like many in the Rosaceae family, Rose’s wisdom brings us lessons related to its thorn medicine, teaching us about the boundaries that protect our essence, our beauty, and the fruits of our labour, helping blossom deeper love and understanding of our self and others.

This Shamanic Plant Spirit Intiation is for you if:

☆ you are craving to feel more connected to Grandmother Earth

☆ you are feeling stuck and are ready to look within and release any limiting beliefs or traumas

☆ you have a yearning to work with the Plant Kingdom in a more profound way

☆ you want to be held in a safe and heart-centred ceremony

☆ you are ready to be connected to your own inner wisdom with the help of a Plant Ally

☆ you want to connect with like-minded people in a sacred circle

What is a Shamanic Plant Spirit Initiation?

A shamanic plant spirit initiation involves a deep, spiritual connection with one Plant or Tree. The initiation creates the sacred container for personal transformation, healing, and a greater understanding of oneself and the natural world with the Plant or Tree as your teacher, elder and guide. The word initiation is utilised as the ceremony is not a simple ‘meet and greet’ of a Plant, it requires a commitment to the Green Being in the form of fasting, so you are able to diet with the Plant or Tree for the entirety of the ceremony. The initiation is entirely an experiential ceremony. The facilitator will utilise different shamanic and energy practices open the connection between you and the Plant or Tree and help you enter into the energy realm of your Green Being Ally. Personal reflection is a large part of the initiation, as there is no middle man interpreting or receiving messages on your behalf. The initiation gives rise to you becoming your own guide with the Plant or Tree Ally as a mentor.

What To Expect

This day is an opportunity to explore and receive the spiritual medicine of Rose as we journey with ceremony, elixirs, breathwork, and other connection and shamanic healing practices. The shamanic plant spirit initiation will take you as deep as you are willing to go. We will end our day with a nourishing meal, grounding ourselves and integrating the received wisdom. We welcome people from all walks of life and this day is suitable for those who are beginners or those who are more experienced.

Mugwort Shamanic Plant Spirit Initiation

Mugwort Shamanic Plant Spirit Initiation

This Shamanic Plant Spirit Initiation is set just before Spring Equinox, whose energy brings us balance, and begins to gently move us out of our shadow into the light. Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) is Plant Kingdom Ambassador, having naturalised across the world, you will find this plant is utilised in Nepalese shamanism, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Western herbal medicine, as well as Plant Spirit and Shamanic work in the USA and the UK.

Historically Mugwort was used by witches as a divination Plant, as sailor’s tobacco, and medicinally to treat amenorrhea and helping to expel the placenta after birth. Mugwort’s contemporary medicinal use is as a gentle digestive and nervine.

Energetically Mugwort is a psychic protection plant, a dreaming plant, and is associated with the Full Moon, meaning that this plant can help us vision our future and if it is in alignment with our path, Mugwort will help bring your vision safely into manifestation. Because of its excellent protection qualities, Mugwort is an excellent sustainable alternative to the traditional white sage smudge sticks, as white sage is now endangered due to over harvesting.

Mugwort opens the door to our inner world as she unveils hidden aspects of who we are so that we may transmute the wounded parts of our being into the medicine and strength we bring to the world, just by being who we are as an enlivened soul.

This Shamanic Plant Spirit Intiation is for you if:

Plant Spirit Medicine

Learn about treating common ailments using different herbal preparations for wellbeing on all levels and how to let the plant consciousness guide you in how to work with it for healing and medicine making.

What previous students say about Suneet’s apprenticeships:

“This course was literally life changing. Suneet held the space beautifully, I felt fully supported, throughout. The plants took me on a roller coaster of a journey, but I did ask for the full ride, so maybe be careful what you wish for. Suneet helped us all navigate the challenges and beauty that unfolded, the messages and areas requiring further exploration.

The content was very interesting and a great balance between practical tasks and information for our awareness, knowledge and understanding. The course itself was very experiential, the pace was moderate, so everyone had chance to catch their breath, digest what was needed, write notes and be ready for the next step.

The people were great too, there was no judgement, just a very held, supportive atmosphere where everyone was allowed to take on board their own healing and experience.

This course is for those who are serious about their own healing and personal journey in this lifetime. I can’t recommend highly enough and would willingly take another course with Suneet’s guidance and support.”

Bev, Hemel Hempstead

“Very difficult to put into words how transformative my journey has been with the plant kingdom, and this began with Suneet’s Shamanic Plant Spirit Apprenticeship.

I’ve seen miracles happen in my life as a result of the work I’ve done with the plants, maybe not miracles that I explicitly asked for because what we want and need are sometimes two different things. But these were things that needed to happen to bring a balance into my life that I didn’t even realise I lacked.

Suneet as a practitioner is kind, warm yet firm, and very experienced. I really appreciate the fact that she places respect and reverence at the heart of connection with these beings, it’s not something I’ve found with all practitioners. But I have learnt from her that the way you approach and build relationship with these spirit beings will inform the bond you continue to share with them, well beyond the apprenticeship and how they show up for you in your daily life.

Deeply grateful to Suneet for opening the door to connection with the plant spirits, for the gift of knowing them, and for the massive impact they’ve had on my life. If you’re considering doing the Shamanic Plant Spirit Apprenticeship with Suneet, I have two words: Do. It!”

Shabana, London

“Life changing and mind-opening. The Shamanic Plant Spirit Healing Apprenticeship has been like no other course I have undertaken. It is a beautifully complex undertaking of both professional learning and personal healing. Suneet guides it beautifully, making it feel natural and progressive to work through the different plant relationships and shamanic techniques. I have a background in healing through movement but this apprenticeship was a big step into the world of plant spirits and more
esoteric shamanic healing techniques. I felt challenged whilst being simultaneously held and supported throughout, and am now ready to take this work to other people. Prepare to have your mind and spirit opened to a whole new experience.”

Lucy, Leeds

“I attended Suneet's first Shamanic Plant Spirit Healing Apprenticeship in 2019. I was so excited when I first signed up for the apprenticeship, and it exceeded my expectations in so many ways, both personally and professionally.

I've been on a journey of deep personal healing and growth for over a decade, and yet I was impressed by how much deeper the healing is at the level we worked at on the apprenticeship. Each month, the plant spirit initiations brought me to deeper levels of personal healing than I had experienced ever before, as did my own shamanic journeying with the plant spirits that I did as “homework”. I'm so happy to have learned new ways of working with myself for deep healing. I feel like it's been a massive upgrade in terms of my own personal healing and development.

I have worked with plant spirits on a personal level for years, but this apprenticeship took my connection and work with plant and tree spirits to a whole new level. I feel much more deeply connected to the Earth, to Nature, and to the plant spirits. I now have new skills that I'll be able to use to help friends, family, and clients. I'm not yet sure how I will be incorporating what I've learned into my professional offerings, but I'm excited to share this deeper level of healing with others.”
