9 Day Plant Chakra Journey

What is a chakra and chakra journey?

A chakra journey is a practice aimed at balancing and aligning the body's energy centres, known as Chakras. Chakra (chuck-ra) is a Sanskrit word, meaning ‘wheel’, and are used to describe the spinning wheels of energy located along the kundalini life force energy that runs up the spine. The role of the major Chakras is to collate and distribute energy to the minor Chakras and the different parts of the body, as every Chakra is associated with different organs and glands. Each Chakra also has a corresponding symbol, colour and sound.

There are seven major Chakras, each associated with different aspects of life and areas of the body:

  1. Root Chakra (Muladhara) - Located at the base of the spine, it represents stability and grounding.

  2. Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) - Located in the lower abdomen, it relates to creativity and emotions.

  3. Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura) - Found in the upper abdomen, it is linked to personal power and confidence.

  4. Heart Chakra (Anahata) - Located in the center of the chest, it symbolizes love and compassion.

  5. Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) - Found in the throat, it pertains to communication and expression.

  6. Third Eye Chakra (Ajna) - Located between the eyebrows, it is associated with intuition and insight.

  7. Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) - At the top of the head, it represents spiritual connection and enlightenment.

We will also be connecting to two additional Chakras:

  • Earth Star Chakra - At our feet, it connects us to Grandmother Earth.

  • Soul Star Chakra - Above the top of the head, it represents our unique soul imprint and connection to Source.

The Chakra journey may involve meditation, visualisation, breathing exercises, or shamanic journeying to help open and balance these energy centers.

A Plant Chakra Journey combines the concepts of Chakras with the energies and healing properties of plants. It involves connecting with specific plants or herbs that correspond to each Chakra, using their energies to facilitate healing, balance, and alignment. To aid us in this journey and to deepen our connection to both our Chakras and the Plant Kingdom, we will be calling in a Plant or Tree Ally for each chakra. Our green being ally will help to restore balance in Chakra as well as bringing forward wisdom and healing from the Plant or Tree.
